I do know that Terry's kiln and/or the car shifted and the car would get stuck. Also I remember Gay Smith having similar issues with her salt kiln/car kiln. Sorry I can't be more help. Otherwise I think Terry's kiln worked pretty well and the steel parts weren't affected by the salt. But Terry would have to answer any specific questions. I'll see him on Weds. and try to remember to ask!klineolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10577525633756972853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1293810450091997880.post-69713525091826477992010-02-15T11:20:17.909-08:002010-02-15T11:20:17.909-08:00was it the car/floor itself or because it was a sa...was it the car/floor itself or because it was a salt kiln? i'd be curious to know.brandon phillipshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09410108166763940251noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1293810450091997880.post-4916194557824365672010-02-15T11:13:36.497-08:002010-02-15T11:13:36.497-08:00I like the strip-ed cups! Didn't work out so well and he finally replaced the floor with a conventional non-car floor.klineolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10577525633756972853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1293810450091997880.post-31703959334414191372010-02-15T06:40:55.814-08:002010-02-15T06:40:55.814-08:00amazing you went to dig that clay 8 years later. a...amazing you went to dig that clay 8 years later. as we've been driving along the highways I've seen a lot of clay pits and thought about jumping off the highway and getting a bit to take with me. one of these days I plan on doing that and some testing.Linda Starrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04364078667554676592noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1293810450091997880.post-18426219637823177562010-02-14T19:40:21.931-08:002010-02-14T19:40:21.931-08:00I always love kiln porno... I have a friend who recently built a bourry box wood kiln with a car. I'm gonna try and go visit it soon. Looking forward to your next firing.Ronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07960400186962033610noreply@blogger.com
