Like most potters I save my best pots and let them gather dust in a corner or on a shelf somewhere being unfulfilled in their mission. Whenever I have the honor of participating in a group show I always send my best work and this is no exception. This particular group spans about 9 months and is an example of my current direction.
This is one of my favorite teapots ever. Fired in the salt kiln with my new clay body a couple months ago.
Lidded jar from the first firing of the salt kiln we built here. Amber glaze.
Yunomi from most recent salt firing.
Small bowls with hakeme'd interiors, from December 2009 wood firing.
Large jug, from December 2009 wood firing. I really like this piece but it's got a bit of heft and it's good size, shipping pots like this kinda sucks. Ah well, what the heck.
Funny fact, all of these pots have the same glaze on them. The last 2 photos are from a wood firing but the 3 previous are from 3 different salt firings where I experimented with atmosphere and cooling.
Cheers!

Oh man...........this just gets harder and harder. I hope that money tree I planted comes in before October 1. I think you're right, you saved some of the best for this show!
Wish I could be there to hold those pieces!
hey sweet lil bowls they should go down a treat..
I am delurking to tell you that these are SO touchable. My gosh! They are pretty! I've been thinking about the comment you made a few posts back about people buying nice pottery and then being afraid to use it. Been there and done that, but these pieces are crying out to be USED!! I hope you find customers.
Amazing and beautiful work! Thanks for posting the pics for those of us who won't be able to make it to NC to see them in person. :)
A few of the best pots I have seen.
Only Mick Casson could have made a jug to equal that one.
Beautiful.
