Your instructional videos are great, the only reason I can throw a mug and make a handle is because of them! When I get all of the beer bottles off of my wheel, I 'm going to make some platters!
Interesting to see how loose the base remains until about 6min...mine seam like babies at 7 1/4lbs and I do like the punching but the arm throwing is working well for me now :))
Very nice, I like your habits of using very little water, compressing the base often, having your working hand supported by the other hand, using few simple tools nothing fancy, and stopping to explain what you're doing next. Great job on the video. Studio dust would seem to be a problem for you, a clean studio equals clean lungs! Hilary

Nice. Great explanation of what you're doing and why.
Guess no one got to pinch you today.
i support holidays that make it socially acceptable to have a beer in the middle of a weekday.
clairy illian talks about reducing the thickness of the base with each pull in her book. maybe it subconciously got through to you.

Great video. So interesting to see how the platter is pulled out of that huge hunk of clay! You make it look so easy!
Wonderful demo. You do make it look easy. I see some attempts at platters in my future.
