do you ever wad those large flat bottom dishes? i had quite a few bits stuck to the shelf in my last firing and ruined some nice pieces but they are a bit on the large size and have flat bottoms...cheers ang
ang-yeah, i wad everything, better safe than sorry! the rule i follow for large wide pieces is that the wads can be no more than 2 inches apart. maybe a few in the middle if it's real wide with a flat bottom.
