You blow my mind. How much do those pots weigh?!
right now they're at 45 pounds. 3 of them started with a 20# base and so far 2 12.5" coils. The fourth had a 30# base and a 15# coil.
Man... I want to play in your studio when I grow-up.
Do you cut a foot on those buggers?
nope, no foot. I may trim the bases while they're still attached if they need it but ideally they're made without having to be trimmed.

nice!!!! your making me jealous now my recycle clay is still in the tub waiting to be processed for a big one..
This is some fresh blogging, glad I surfed over to see the work in action. Those look gargantuan. Just wondering if you ever get an occasional slug trying to slide over the pots, causing slug slime trails and wreaking havoc on the whole operation? It looks rather inviting to a mollusk, indeed.

Show off. I gave up throwing "big" after my third bout of tendonitis in my shoulder. Big for me meant around 20# tops. Keep on going!
